Clear guidelines for quality

EOS SID is a member of the Federal Association of German Debt Collection Agencies, or BDIU, because this demonstrates our readiness to allow our working methods to be examined at any time by a neutral institution.

The BDIU member companies have undertaken to act in accordance with the rule of law and are monitored by the presidents of their local courts. Their finances must be well-ordered and they must demonstrate extensive legal knowledge, both theoretical and practical. The BDIU strives consistently to maintain a high standard of quality among its members. By establishing ‘legal guidelines for the profession’, the BDIU’s members have set high standards for contractual out-of-court debt collection from private individuals and businesses.

In recent years, this voluntary self-monitoring and the BDIU’s aggressive policy have led to a lasting improvement in the profession’s image. As a result, the Federal Association is being asked with increasing frequency to give expert opinions, including by public bodies. Membership of the BDIU has become a quality seal. Today, 512 of the approximately 750 debt collection companies active in Germany are organized in the BDIU (as per February 2007).
